The Babcock Institute creates publications that cover a wide variety of topics designed to aid in all aspects of dairy management. Many of the publications are available to download free of charge.
The Online Store makes the Babcock Institute publications available for purchase or download. In addition to the publications listed below, the online store features publications such as Artificial Insemination Techniques for Dairy Cattle, Dairy Worker Training Modules, Electronic Herd Management & Dairy Modernization Planning Guides.
Case Studies result from research conducted under Babcock Institute grants awarded to UW and Extension faculty. The first publication in this series describes nutrient management systems on dairy farms in India. The case studies are free of charge and available to download from this site.
Discussion Papers describe and analyze international dairy markets and how they relate to the Wisconsin and US dairy industries. Written by UW professors for the department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, the discussion papers are available for free download.
International Dairy Notes are one-page overviews of current issues related to dairy trade and world dairy markets distributed electronically to key legislative aides and other agricultural policymakers and available for free download here.

The Dairy Essentials introduce the core topic areas of dairy management and form the basis of the technical information available from Babcock.
